Specialized LED Grow Lights

Our specialized LED lighting can adapt the same multi-wave length LED technology as our healthcare LED lighting systems to achieve dramatic increases in biomass.

Our tunable, commercially proven, multi-frequency LED fixtures allow greenhouse growers to adjust outputs to optimize production conditions and biomass increase for any plant species. What makes our LED so special is we can “dial” the individual diodes that are in the light. By being able to focus on specific wavelengths of the light spectrum our LED can accelerate plant photosynthesis.

Light bulbs gives off white light, which encompasses all the colors of the visible light spectrum. Plant photosynthesis requires only specific wavelengths of light and all the extra wavelengths that are in white light are wasted. LED grow light diodes have a blend of only the wavelengths that are needed in the correct ratios necessary for photosynthesis. These wavelengths are mainly the reds, oranges and blues in the 580-630nm and 420-470nm ranges.

Our LED grow lights have gone through several iterations to maximize the efficacy of the diodes for plants. Our LED grow lights include ultraviolet and infrared diodes since we have done testing using various blends of diodes and formulated optimal diode ratios that best mimic the photosynthetic action radiation necessary for plant growth. This can be done based on various species of plants, which makes our LED lighting unique in the grow industry.

Not only will our LED lighting meet all the lighting demands of any greenhouse, hydroponics, or algae production system, energy savings are enormous compared to conventional greenhouse lighting using HID lamps.

The U.S. Department of Energy hopes to reduce the electricity used for lighting by 50% by converting to LED based light sources.
